Glenelg North 

 

Glenelg North (Glenelg, South Australia) is a very large suburb in the City of Onkaparinga. It is mostly residential and located in the southern part of the suburb, 1.3 km south of the centre of Glenelg. Glenelg North’s population is about 16,000 people. Most of the homes in the area were built between 1945 and 1970.

An Australian suburb, Glenelg North is a vibrant, diverse suburb located 17 kilometers southwest of the Adelaide CBD. Considered to be one of the more popular suburbs of Adelaide, Glenelg North enjoys close proximity to a number of amenities, including a hospital, a golf course, and the Central Market. In addition, Glenelg North is easily accessible by car, with Glenelg Train station located only 5 minutes away via the Glenelg tram.

Demographics of the Glenelg North suburbs are a study in contrast. Areas closer to the center of Adelaide are generally older, more affluent, and whiter. The suburbs closer to the city’s beaches and beaches themselves are younger, more affluent, and whiter. Areas further from the city center tend to have a higher proportion of renters, lower average household incomes, higher levels of unemployment, and greater social disadvantage.

Parks of Glenelg North is a brand-new apartment community, designed by the award-winning studio, Schiavello. School of Glenelg North, a learning center for children ages 2-8 in the Glenelg neighborhood of Grand Rapids, is being featured in a new documentary called “Unschooling in the City”. The film follows the school’s co-founder and co-director, Dan Bickham, as he tries to build a more progressive learning environment for young children.

The school is a great school and provides a good education for all the kids and their families.
This facility is owned by the City of Adelaide. It has several short-term and long-term stays available. It offers a variety of facilities including a swimming pool, gym, gymnasium, games room, public bar, and restaurant.

Facilities of Glenelg North (45 Catherine Street, Glenelg) has a wonderful new cafe/restaurant and is located in the new Glenelg North development. It is well worth a visit, especially for its delicious and healthy food. It is a great way for you to enjoy the pleasant surroundings of Glenelg beach and the harbor.

Shopping of Glenelg North is now open, with floor plans of the new development at 150 Gudgenby Rd. in Glenelg North. Opening hours are 8.30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 10 am to 1 pm on weekends and public holidays.

The beaches of Glenelg North have been rated in the top ten in South Australia and Australia. The sea is excellent for swimming, fishing, and surfing and is particularly popular with the area’s many families. The Glenelg North beaches are also a popular spot for nudists who love their bare bodies.
