Big Rocking Horse is a unique amusement park with a difference. What started in the year 2000 as an idea of creating a rocking horse that could rock on its own has now become an icon. It was built by a family of three brothers and one sister in six months. Together, they created a twelve metre high giant rocking horse, which was later added to by the addition of other rides and playground equipment.

In the year 2007, Big Rocking Horse was opened to the public. There was a fee of $8 to use the park and this included unlimited rides. In 2009, the park was leased to a private. The Big Rocking Horse is a 115 metre high steel structure in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. The structure is shaped to imitate a giant rocking horse. It is located on private property, at the junction of the Inglewood and Balhannah roads, approximately 2.5 kilometres west of Balhannah, 40 kilometres east of Murray Bridge and 50 kilometres south-east of Adelaide. It was designed by Australian architect Philip Cox and built by Baulderstone Hornibrook between April 1993 and July 1995. The Big Rocking Horse welcomes visitors with over 2000 square metres of deck space. On top of the structure is an oval-shaped observation deck, which is accessible by stairs and an elevator.
